Mother's Day Tea Party with Lulu

Last week, we went to the Mother's Day Tea at Lulu's nursing home. Mackenzie was so excited to dress up and wear her "tea" hat. When we got there, Lulu did not have her hat on, and Boo was not ok with this. She told Meme "We have to get Lulu's tea hat because this is a tea party and we wear tea hats to tea party's." So after Meme and Boo went to find Lulu's tea hat, she was ready to eat:) Zach had a great time just hanging out in the stroller flirting with all the ladies!

Zach is 8 months!

Okay, I know you are thinking that I say this a lot when it comes to this blog but, boy does time fly! Zach turned 8 months old last week...and he is moving in all directions! About 3 weeks ago, he graduated from the Army man crawl to regular crawling. Then last week he decided that it was time that he started pulling himself to a stand!!! Sorry the pictures aren't that great in the crib, but I was trying to catch him in action!

His favorite thing to do know is stand up and look out the windows! Oh, and yes, his shirt is buttoned outside his pants...Boo helped me dress him and "insisted" that this is the way that it goes:)

And this weeks trick...yep, crawling up the stairs!!! I could not believe that he did it! Boo went upstairs to get something, and I guess Zach decided that he needed to help her because the next thing I knew, Zach was 3 steps up!!! He has now done this several times which means...time to go to Home Depot and buy some new gates!!!!

Beach Trip to the Outer Banks

Earlier this month, we went to the Outer Banks with Uncle Chris, Aunt Jamie, Mia and Aunt Jamie's family. We had such a great time, and Boo really liked having a ton of playtime with Mia! While we were there, Greg and I took the kids to the top of Jockey's Ridge. It was quite a hike carrying Zach all that way (he is so heavy...)! Boo climbed the whole thing herself! At the top, she just kept saying over and over "Can you believe this sand box!"

This picture below is for Uncle Chris (the other one:)! We ate at his favorite restaurant! They have the best food ever!! Yum! Sorry you weren't with us Chris...but we thought of you!

The title of this picture should be "How many people does it take to fly a kite?" Uncle Chris, Zach, Mia's "Fave Uncle Dave", Greg, and Boo all tried to get the kite up. It was very funny watching them try to fly this kite! They did get the kite to fly, and Boo was happy:)

Got Boogies...Take 2!

So here is Zach and his boogies....

And here is Boo! In this picture, she was about 11 months old.
I just thought I would share these 2 pics...hahah!

Boo and Zach's new buddy!

One of my closest friends had her little baby boy late last night, so Boo and I went to meet baby Max and check on Piper this morning. After dropping Zachary off at Aunt Jamie's (thank you Aunt Jamie for taking him on such short notice) Boo and I were off to the hospital. The whole ride there, she talked about how when her Buddy (aka Zachary) was out of mommy's tummy, she went to see him at the hospital. Here is a picture of Max...check out all his hair! And we thought Boo had hair when she was born! Congrats to Darrell and Piper on baby Max!

Spring Fling

Our neighborhood had a Spring Fling last week, and the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. One activity they had planned was for the county K-9 unit to come out to do a demonstration for all the kids. Of course, Boo being my child was not to thrilled at the sight of this huge German Shepard, but she warmed up and actually petted him (and no, I didn't come close to petting him:)! Zach had a good time just people watching and hanging out in the wagon!

Latest pictures of Zach

Here are a couple of recent pictures of Zach! He has mastered the "Army Crawl" and is all over the place...time to get the gates out:)

Zach is 7 months old and he has a new trick!

Look at Zach's new trick! He tried to sit up by himself yesterday, but just couldn't do it. Today, he has mastered it! Oh oh, does that mean that crawling forward is next?!!??

He is so proud of himself:)

Boo and her puzzles

The other week, we bought Boo a 24 piece jigsaw puzzle of Jasmine (a Disney princess). It took us helping her 2 times before she caught on to putting the puzzle together. Then it started...she has mastered every jigsaw puzzle we have given her. We bought another princess puzzle and a Cars puzzle over the weekend, and without any help, she put both of them together. Today, we had to run into Target (I know, go figure) to get something, and she asked if we could see what puzzles they had. I said sure, and we were off in search of puzzles. Well, she wanted to get this Diego puzzle, but I wasn't sure. It was a floor size jigsaw puzzle with 48 pieces! But, I said ok since it was on clearance. We got home and right away she wanted to put it together. I had to give Zach his lunch so I told her that she would have to do it by herself and she said ok. About 5 minuets later, she started saying "I'm done..I do it Mommy!" And sure enough, she had put the whole thing together with NO HELP!!!! Looks like Meme finally has someone in the family to do puzzles with her:)

Going...going.....backwards!

Zach has started to move around....but backwards! Just like when Boo was his age, he scoots everywhere backwards. The other day he scooted himself right into the box!

Toes are yummy!

The picture says it all:)

Pictures from Easter Weekend

Zach hanging out at his first Easter Egg HuntBoo had a blast hunting for eggs at the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt!

She was so proud of all the eggs she found!

Would you believe that the Easter Bunny left eggs for Booskie to find at Meme's house! She was so excited to be able to look for eggs. After she found the eggs Meme told her that the Easter Bunny left her a basket too, but she would have to find it:)

We had such a great Easter Weekend. Were able to see Greg's side of the family Saturday at Easter lunch with Uncle Chris, Aunt Jamie, Mia, Aunt Jamie's sister Jennifer and her husband David, and Grandma and Grandpa. Then we made it over to Easter Dinner Saturday night at Uncle Chris, Aunt Kristy and Thomas' house. We had such a busy day, but it was so nice to see everyone!

Too Cute

Just had to share this picture....isn't he cute! He just loves his Big Bird stuffed toy:)

Zach and the Easter Bunny

We had such a great day on Friday. Daddy and Grandpa went to the NCAA Basketball games, so we got to spend the whole day with Grandma...what a treat during the week:) Since Grandma and I share a love of scrapbooking, we went to a mall that has a great scrapbook store. After having a great time in the scrapbook store, we went into the mall. Once we got into the mall, Grandma bought us a snack....we needed to refuel after the scrapbook store:) We had such a good time people watching and just hanging out, when we realized that the Easter Bunny was there. I asked Boo if she wanted to see the Easter Bunny and she said yes....so we got in line! She was so excited about the bunny....until it was our turn! She would have nothing to do with him! Zach on the other hand had a great time on the bunny's lap. I had no intention what so ever to buy the extremely over priced pictures, but I just had too once I saw how cute he looked with the Bunny! After the bunny, Grandma took us to "Old MacDonalds" for lunch....Thank you Grandma for such a special day and for all our treats:)

This is his new thing...sucking on his upper lip! I guess it feels good, but it makes him look like such an old man!!

Wow...where did the time go? I can't believe that Zach is 6 months old! And, to top that off he decided today was the day for his first 2 teeth to pop through!!!!

Zach's Christening Pictures

Here are a couple pictures that we had taken of Zach in his Christening outfit. I was a little worried because last time we had his pictures taken, he didn't smile...this time, he was full of smiles:)
