First visit to the dentist

We took Boo to the dentist for the first time day, and as you can tell in the pictures, she wasn't happy about it! We took her to a pediatric dentist, and she was really nice and very patient with my terrified little girl. Since this was Boo's first visit, they had her sit in my lap and lay her head on the dentist's lap. She wouldn't open her mouth, and SCREAMED like she was being tortured, but by the end, she had settled down. And wouldn't you know, as soon as the dentist was done and told Boo that it was time to pick a prize out of the treasure chest, Boo was saying "I like princess paint and the dentist!" Oh, and princess paint is the fluoride the dentist "painted" on her teeth (they do this since Boo is too little to swish the fluoride).

A new place to nap

Zach has a new place that he likes to take naps! I guess I can't blame him, he looks pretty comfy:)

Race For the Cure

We made our annual trip to the Race For the Cure this past Saturday. And, as tradition goes, Boo had a "customized" shirt for the event. However, the heat must have gotten to me, because I didn't take a front and back picture of her!!! Oh well, next year I will remember! Once we were down playing in the mist tent, which was Boo's favorite part of the morning, we made our way over to the Survivors tent with Meme, and then walked around a little more before heading home. One, day, we will actually do the race:)

Boo driving???? YIKES!!!

Let me start at the beginning...Chris and Kristy hosted Easter at their house again this year, and while we were there Boo was able to drive Thomas' truck around their yard. Well, ever since then anytime Boo sees one, she says that she wants one. A few weeks back we were playing in the toy store and she saw all the motorized cars. She spent half an hour going back and forth from each car, checking them out. Again, all she talked about was how she wanted one. I told her that she couldn't have one b/c there is no room in our garage for her to have one and have her big play house. I then told her that if she wanted to sell her playhouse to some other little boy or girl and take that money and buy herself a car, she could. She agreed and said she would sell her house. I dropped the subject for a few days, and then the Fisher-Price catalog (better known as Boo's magazine) came in the mail. She found the page with the cars on it and without prompting she said "Mommy, I can sell my house and buy this car..ok!" So we did...I was a little worried what would happen when we actually SOLD her house, but she did great. We sold it last week on Craig's list and gave her the money for it. She did great! She didn't get upset at all about her house being gone (thank goodness)! So on Friday afternoon we went to the toy store to buy her a car. She picked out the Black Escalade and LOVES it! Here are a couple pictures of her driving Zach around!

Aunt Nancy comes to town

Aunt Nancy came to town last week for a visit, and it was so nice to see her! Before she had to go back home, we were able to meet for lunch so she could see the kids. Mackenzie was so funny when I was trying to explain how Aunt Nancy is Meme's sister she kept saying that "Meme's don't have sisters...she just haves Dubs!" She eventually got it thought:) Hopefully we will be able to visit her soon and go to my favorite place in the whole wide world (ok, next to Target) The World of Coca-Cola!!

Another visit to Jumping Beans

About 3 weeks ago, we have really started working hard on the whole potty learning thing. Boo has done great...only 3 accidents in 3 weeks (she is still wearing her diaper at night and during outings). As a 'reward' for popping in the potty we went to Jumping Beans. She loves this place! There weren't too many kids there on the day we went so Boo pretty much had the run of the place. They even have a little bounce area where Zach was able to play. This was his first time playing here, and he had a blast.

Our little boy is growing up...

Zach has started eating solid foods (other than baby food) and started drinking from a sippy cup recently! He does really well drinking water from his cup or even holding his own bottles. We have also slowly started introducing solid food to him in the past week. In these pictures he is eating his first Bojangles biscuit! He loved it...and did so well feeding himself. I also tried giving him real banana but he didn't care for it at all. Can't wait to see what is on his menu next week!

Zach and his bath

Zach LOVES bath time! Here are just a couple pictures for you...I just love his expressions!

Little Pool

We bought the kids a little pool for the back yard and they really love it! Zach is such a water baby! He would spend all day in the pool if I let him! Boo had so much fun showing Zach all our pool toys and showing him how to splash! Hopefully this weekend we will finally make it over to our neighborhood pool, but judging by how much fun they had in the little one...I think we will be spending a bunch of time in both pools!

Another great trip to the Zoo!

On Sunday, Boo and I went to the Zoo with Meme, Dub, Uncle Chris, and Thomas. We had such a great time! It seemed like all the animals were out and very easy to see. Boo didn't even need her "binnococolars" to see the "rhinaanasseras" (also know as binoculars and rhinos). When we got to the zoo, we kept asking Boo what she wanted to see and all she would say was she wanted to see the monkey's poop (like on our last visit)! She is so funny! Here are a couple pictures from our day! A big thank you to Meme and Dub for our great trip!!!!
