Santa...kind of!

We have talked for weeks about going to the mall to see Santa, and every time, Boo says that she can't wait to see him! Since Daddy was off this week, we figured it was a good time to go. We got to the mall and Boo ran all through the mall saying "Santa Santa, I see him! Hoopee!" Well, when it was our turn, she got really upset and wouldn't go near him! Zach didn't seem to mind sitting on Santa's lap (we hadn't planned on Zach sitting on Santa's lap...that is why he is wearing pjs and a hat....he kind of looks like a little mobster on Santa's lap doesn't he?)! We finally got her to sit on my lap and have her picture taken with Santa....oh well, maybe next year:)

Zach meeting the Great Grandparents

We took a little road trip to Asheboro this morning so we could introduce Zach to his great grandparents (Greg's grandparents) for the first time! They were so excited to see him! Mackenzie really warmed up fast and had a great time running all over, and playing with Great Grandma's walker! Zach just took everything in and had a good time watching his crazy sister run around! It was a very nice visit for everybody:)

Christmas Number 1

We did Christmas with Chris, Kristy, Thomas, Cathy, Kyle, Meme and Dub last weekend! It was the first time in a while that Thomas and Mackenzie had seen each other, but it was just like old times! They had SO much fun playing together...it was so cool to listen to them talk to each other and hear what they had to say:) We all had a great time, and Mackenzie was so into opening presents...she and Thomas both kept wanting to open more and more! Zach had a great time too...watching everything from his swing:)

Zach's week

Zach has really grown in the past week. He is so "talkative!" He loves to hold these conversations with you and just smiles and smiles! He is starting to roll to his sides which is great, and he really is getting into his toys now!

Boo and Z

This is not good...they are already teaming up against me when it comes to having their pictures taken.....

Time for a haircut!

We FINALLY made it to the kids hair salon last week for Boo to get her haircut! She LOVES this place! She does really well sitting still and watching the little video they play while she gets her haircut. The lady put a red bow in her hair along with sparkles and Boo said "I am a princess mommy just like Cindererreellla!" She was so proud of her new do:)

December + 80 degrees= THE PLAYGROUND

We have spent every morning this week at a different playground! I can't believe that it is 2 weeks from Christmas and it is 80 degrees outside! On Tuesday, we spent the morning at Pullen Park with Skyler! Boo hasn't seen her best friend in over a month, so it was a nice surprise for her. I didn't tell Boo that Skyler was coming and when we pulled into the parking lot and she saw Skyler's car...she was SCREAMING...."Mommy, mommy there's my Skyler...she come to play at the park with me...yipppeee!"

Animal Sorting

The other day, Boo asked to play with all her zoo animals that we bought at the zoo, so out of the closet they came. I left the playroom to go do something and when I came back this is what I found! She lined up all the like animals....she has been doing this a lot lately! She definitely gets this trait from her daddy:)

Aunt Cathy and cookies

Aunt Cathy and Mackenzie had a blast with their project together on Saturday! They made Christmas Tree cookies! Boo was so excited to help Aunt Cathy mix the cookie dough, and then roll it out and cut the shapes, and then put the sprinkles on. She had a hard time only putting a few sprinkles on each cookie...she wanted the entire jar of sprinkles to go on her cookie:) Boo is still talking about making her cookies, and wants to know what else she can cook with Aunt Cathy.....looks like Aunt Cathy has a new cooking buddy:)

Mad Zach

This picture reminds me so much of Mackenzie when she would get mad as a baby! We have a picture of her that looks just like this....only it is in my scrapbook and I can't post it! I'll see if Greg can work his computer magic and get the picture of Mackenzie up so you can see how much they really do look like each other:)

Zach is 3 months old!!!!

I can not believe that Zach is already 3 months old....I know I say it a lot, but boy does time fly! There is not a whole lot going on right now, just getting ready for Santa to come! Here are some pictures of Zach over the last 3 weeks...

Tummy Time!

Zach is doing really well with his tummy time! He likes watching himself in the mirror, especially when Boo makes the lights around his little mirror come on! He also seems to like having tummy time on his bobby pillow!

Favorite Uncle Kyle, Chris, Chris or Chris???

Last weekend, we helped Aunt Cathy and Uncle Kyle move into their new house...ok, I'm not sure you can call it help with 2 kids, but that was our mission:)! Any how, the day before we were going to help them move I was talking to Boo telling her that we had to help them move and she said that she wanted to paint a picture for "my fAAAvorite Kyle." I asked her what she wanted to paint for him and she said a Christmas Tree! So with a little help from me, we painted Kyle a picture of a Christmas Tree! Well, a couple days after they moved, we went for a visit and I told Boo to get her picture she painted and we would take it to Uncle Kyle she said "No its not for him...its for my Chris!" Well, as you all know she has 2 Uncle Chris', so we had to figure out which one.... I said is it for Thomas' daddy or Mia's daddy.....and Boo said "no its for the men who fix Daddy's shower!" She is so funny.....Chris IS the contractor who came to the house to fix the crack in the shower.....I guess she knows we aren't going to go track him down and give away her Christmas Tree picture:)

Lets backtrack a bit...

I can't believe how long its been since I've posted pictures....so, here is a quick update!

Zach is doing great! He has (knock on wood) past his fussy stage! This was a little hard to get used to because Mackenzie "never" cried, but luckily his fussy stage just lasted a few weeks! He is becoming more active and is alert more of the time now. He LOVES playing with his hanging toys! And, the best part of all is seeing his face when he sees Boo! He automatically lights up when he sees or hears her!

Boo is also doing great! She is busy making her Christmas list for Santa! So far she wants a "big tv to hang on her bedroom wall just like daddy and a flashlight!" I have told her that Santa's sleigh isn't big enough for the tv, but maybe he could get her a flashlight:) This past week, she has also discovered that she can open doors now....by herself! UGGGHHHHH! She has never had an interest in opening doors (nor did I want her to have one), but for some reason, last week she decided she wanted to open the closet door to get out some toys! Well, this lead to all sorts of things! My good sleeper is now getting up anywhere from 5-6am, opening her door and running down the hall shouting "Good morning everyone. I open my way out door!" She is too smart for her own good....I told her that she may not open her bedroom door or her closet door without Mommy or Daddy there....so, she has renamed her bedroom door her "way out door!"

Pictures Part 2

Here are a few more!

Holiday Pictures

We had our holiday pictures made on Saturday! Even though we had to wait and wait, by the time it was our turn, we were good to go (aka no crying kids)! Mackenzie loves having her picture taken while Zach makes you work for a smile! All in all they did great....here is a small look at some of our favorite pictures!

Trick or Treat time!

First off....a HUGE thank you goes to Aunt Cathy for all her help on Halloween night! Without her, I don't know what we would have done! Thank you Aunt Cathy for coming over and helping us take Boo Trick or Treating...you are the best!!

Boo LOVED Trick or Treating last night! Oh my goodness, did she love it! Her best friend Skyler came with us, along with Zach and Greyson. When we started out, she would ring the doorbell, and sometimes she would say trick or treat, and other times she wouldn't say anything, but she always picked out a treat. As soon as she would get a treat, she would RUN to Aunt Cathy or I and say "I got a treat...next house!" She was ready to go! Over and over she would say "next house" or "lets go!" I think we have a professional trick or treater on our hands:) Oh, and the reason she looks so sad in the above picture is because she was ready to go, but I just kept taking pictures:)

Pumpkin Carving

We had so much fun carving our pumpkins the other night! Boo loved using the spoon to get the guts out of the pumpkin....although she didn't really like getting her hands dirty! Zach watched the whole thing, and just loved his pumpkin:)
