Zach's Christening Pictures

Here are a couple pictures that we had taken of Zach in his Christening outfit. I was a little worried because last time we had his pictures taken, he didn't smile...this time, he was full of smiles:)

Highchair + Mesh Feeder = Happy Boy

Zach used the highchair for the first time today at lunch, and he seemed to really like it! I put an ice cube inside the mesh feeder and gave it to him, to see what he would do with it. Well, he went to town...he LOVED it! He sat in the highchair for 20 minutes just having a good time!

Jumping Beans!

We went to Jumping Beans this morning to have a play date with Skyler and Greyson. We had never been here before, but I kept hearing great things about this indoor bounce place, so with it raining today, we decide it would be a perfect time to try it out! The girls had so much fun!!! Here are a couple of pictures...We can't wait to go here again:)

Sitting Up

Within the last week, Zach has started sitting up on his own! He does well, but is still very wobbly:)

Bath Time

Zach LOVES bath time! He is now in the "big boy bath seat." He just sits in there and lounges!

Zach's Christening

A huge thanks needs to go to Dub for making Zach's Christening happen....THANKS DUB!!! You see, on the Friday before Zach's Christening, the church had no idea that he was to be Christened the following Sunday....so in a panic (here I am, getting ready for a party with all these people to celebrate Zach's big day...and according to the church it wasn't happening) , Meme tracked Dub down, and Dub came to the rescue....Dub made a quick trip down to the church, found the right people to talk to, and everything was back on schedule:)

Zach did really well during the service, Boo on the other hand was quite concerned for her brother. As the minister walked down the aisle with Zach, Boo was saying "where is he going with my Zachary? Bring him back to me!!" She was on the verge of a major back down, when Marie and Charlie saved the day! I saw them in the seats, so I quickly got Boo to search for her favorite "ReeRee (Marie) and Charlie!" This distracted her long enough for the minister to bring Zach back:)

Here are a couple pictures from the day with both sets of grandparents!

The Circus

A couple weeks ago, Meme was able to get us seats in her company's suite for the Circus! We had so much fun....Aunt Cathy came with Boo and I, and we meet Wendy and Skyler there! Of course, the girls just wanted to play and not watch the show, but as soon as the animals came out, they were very into the show! THANK YOU MEME!!!

The Family gene

Oh Boy! It looks like Zach has a little bit of the Northcutt gene in him after all:)

Fun pictures

Sleepy Boy!

Look at my new jumper from Santa Claus! I love it!

Zach and Boo have a good laugh together!

One eye Zach

Zach has a blocked tear duct that is taking its time going away. Some days you would never know it, but other days, he wakes up from his nap looking like a pirate!

BIG updates!!!

We are going to work backwards for just a bit, because the most recent news is the best news:)

First, Mackenzie is officially a big girl...she has given up her passy...COMPLETELY, and she did it basically over night. We went to the library last week to check out a couple of books about giving up the passy. That day we read them at nap time, and that night was her first night without the passy. She did great! The next morning the passy fairy left her a Cookie Monster doll and a "coupon" saying that she could get her ball tent for being such a good girl! Woo Hoo!!!! And for those wondering...yes, potty "learning" is next on our list of things to do:)

Next, Zach is rolling over! Of course, he rolled over for the first time when nobody was watching, but now he does it all the time (except at Meme's house....where he refused to show off)! Pretty exciting that he is 4 months old now, and rolling over like a champ! He is also on cereal now...the first couple of days, he didn't really care for it, now he scarfs it down like it is going out of style!

Santa...kind of!

We have talked for weeks about going to the mall to see Santa, and every time, Boo says that she can't wait to see him! Since Daddy was off this week, we figured it was a good time to go. We got to the mall and Boo ran all through the mall saying "Santa Santa, I see him! Hoopee!" Well, when it was our turn, she got really upset and wouldn't go near him! Zach didn't seem to mind sitting on Santa's lap (we hadn't planned on Zach sitting on Santa's lap...that is why he is wearing pjs and a hat....he kind of looks like a little mobster on Santa's lap doesn't he?)! We finally got her to sit on my lap and have her picture taken with Santa....oh well, maybe next year:)

Zach meeting the Great Grandparents

We took a little road trip to Asheboro this morning so we could introduce Zach to his great grandparents (Greg's grandparents) for the first time! They were so excited to see him! Mackenzie really warmed up fast and had a great time running all over, and playing with Great Grandma's walker! Zach just took everything in and had a good time watching his crazy sister run around! It was a very nice visit for everybody:)

Christmas Number 1

We did Christmas with Chris, Kristy, Thomas, Cathy, Kyle, Meme and Dub last weekend! It was the first time in a while that Thomas and Mackenzie had seen each other, but it was just like old times! They had SO much fun playing together...it was so cool to listen to them talk to each other and hear what they had to say:) We all had a great time, and Mackenzie was so into opening presents...she and Thomas both kept wanting to open more and more! Zach had a great time too...watching everything from his swing:)

Zach's week

Zach has really grown in the past week. He is so "talkative!" He loves to hold these conversations with you and just smiles and smiles! He is starting to roll to his sides which is great, and he really is getting into his toys now!

Boo and Z

This is not good...they are already teaming up against me when it comes to having their pictures taken.....

Time for a haircut!

We FINALLY made it to the kids hair salon last week for Boo to get her haircut! She LOVES this place! She does really well sitting still and watching the little video they play while she gets her haircut. The lady put a red bow in her hair along with sparkles and Boo said "I am a princess mommy just like Cindererreellla!" She was so proud of her new do:)

December + 80 degrees= THE PLAYGROUND

We have spent every morning this week at a different playground! I can't believe that it is 2 weeks from Christmas and it is 80 degrees outside! On Tuesday, we spent the morning at Pullen Park with Skyler! Boo hasn't seen her best friend in over a month, so it was a nice surprise for her. I didn't tell Boo that Skyler was coming and when we pulled into the parking lot and she saw Skyler's car...she was SCREAMING...."Mommy, mommy there's my Skyler...she come to play at the park with me...yipppeee!"

Animal Sorting

The other day, Boo asked to play with all her zoo animals that we bought at the zoo, so out of the closet they came. I left the playroom to go do something and when I came back this is what I found! She lined up all the like animals....she has been doing this a lot lately! She definitely gets this trait from her daddy:)

Aunt Cathy and cookies

Aunt Cathy and Mackenzie had a blast with their project together on Saturday! They made Christmas Tree cookies! Boo was so excited to help Aunt Cathy mix the cookie dough, and then roll it out and cut the shapes, and then put the sprinkles on. She had a hard time only putting a few sprinkles on each cookie...she wanted the entire jar of sprinkles to go on her cookie:) Boo is still talking about making her cookies, and wants to know what else she can cook with Aunt Cathy.....looks like Aunt Cathy has a new cooking buddy:)
