Weekend with Thomas

For those of you who don't know, last month I "closed daycare." Thomas is now going to a school closer to his house, and Boo and I are about to go to a new child center ourselves. It was a very hard decision to make, but everyone is doing well. So, long story short, b/c the kids aren't together daily anymore, Kristy and I still want them to reamain close, so each month the kids visit each other overnight (aka all the parents get a break:)! This past weekend Thomas stayed with us, and we all had a blast! Boo and I picked him up at daycare Friday, went to get a happy meal, then came home and played! Thomas and Mackenzie were right back into the swing of thngs! Thomas has a new favorite toy at our house too (sorry Chris) Mackenzie's toy stroller! He would push it every where and anywhere! On Saturday we went to visit Greg's family at a campground, and the kids had a blast there as well....just exploring it all! When we got home Saturday night, the kids took a bath and had so much fun splashing each other! It is nice that they are so close:)

Oh Booskie!

This is her new spot to watch her favorite TV show Jakers on PBS! She looks so innocent doesn't she:)

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Boo had a blast playing outside in the rain the other week! We used bowls to catch the rain, and then pour the water out....most of the time on her!

2nd Haircut

Earlier this week, I took Mackenzie to get her 2nd haircut! She loves being "pampered" while getting her hair cut with animal crackers, bubbles, and special videos! Although the one picture makes Boo look sad, she DID have a great time:)

Race For the Cure

Back in June, Mackenzie "ran" her 1st Race For The Cure race! She wore a shirt that said "My Grammy is a Survivor" and everyone thought it was the cutest shirt ever! These pictures were taken after the walk....and should have been posted in June...oops:)

Big Girl

Mackenzie is working on feeding herself with a fork! YEAH!!! She does really well, but sometimes she needs a little help getting the food to stay on the fork! What a big girl:)

Playground

In our new neighborhood, there is a huge playground that Mackenzie seems to really enjoy! Her favorite thing is the tunnel slide! She zips down it, and gets up and does the sign for "more." We haven't figured out if she likes the swings or not yet. She points to the swings, and we put her in and push her, and at first she is laughing and having a good time, then she starts to turn a little...ah green! I'm sure we will be spending lots of time at the new playground:)

Playspace

A couple of weeks ago, Mackenzie and I went to Playspace to see what it was all about. It was awesome....it is a children's museum that has all sorts of different things to see and do! Mackenzie had a blast! She loved playing in the toy kitchen, the water, and her favorite thing was the toy computer....looks like Daddy might have a computer buddy on his hands:)

Boo and her Bubble wrap

Boo's favorite part of packing up the old house, has to be the bubble wrap! She loved playing with it! One day she took an entire roll of the bubble wrap, unrolled it, and went to town playing with it! She was none to happy when it was time to put it away!

Boo and her Tupperware

Since the whole house is a wreck, Boo's "Rules" have gone out the window. Usually she is not allowed to play in the kitchen at all, but nowadays, she can pretty much do as she pleases:) She LOVES to play in the tupperware cabinet:) She will take everything out, and throw it, and then put it all back in. On this day she decided that it would be a good idea for her to play INSIDE the cabinet. Poor thing, she kept getting stuck:) She quickly decided that it was more fun to pull the stuff off, and not go in:)

Ok, so it is time to update the blog:)

Sorry for the long delay in updating the blog, but things in the Sellman Household have been CRAAAAZZZYYYYY! First, Greg and I took a long weekend trip to NYC to celebrate our 4 yr. Anniversary. I love the city, and have been there a few times, but Greg had never been! He loved it! We did all the typical tourist stuff like seeing The Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Times Square, etc. My FAVORITE part of the whole trip, was getting to meet Charlie Gibson! I LOVE to watch GMA, so it was the perfect way to spend our last day in NYC:)

We have also been a little busy getting ready for a big move. We have sold our house, and are due to move at the end of this month. So far, Mackenzie has had a blast helping us pack (ah, with her it is more of an unpacking thing:)! She loves to take whatever we just put in the box and take it out and run with it. This past weekend Grammy gave us a huge roll of bubble wrap to use. Well, Booskie decided that she need to unroll the WHOLE roll of wrap, and dance around with it. Yes, I have pictures of this, but the cords to upload the pictures have been packed....so once the move is complete, there will be lots and lots of picture updates:)

Pool Time...again

Boo had a blast playing in her pool this afternoon:)

Thanks A LOT Grammy and Dub!!!!!!

The 1st thing Mackenzie does when she gets to Grammy and Dub's house, is she takes off in search of her favorite toy....a corn popper. Well, today Mackenzie and I went to the store, and we had some spare time, so we strolled through the toy department. All of a sudden, she through a HUGE fit...kicking, screaming, and doing everything in her power to get out of the cart. Since I couldn't figure out what was wrong, I took her out of the cart and put her down....she immediately took off "running" and to my surprise, she found a corn popper! I don't know how she reconized it in the midst of all the toys, but she did. She was so proud of herself, smiling ear to ear and she pushed the corn popper through the store. Needless to say, the corn popper made it home with us:)

1st Haircut

Mackenzie had her 1st haircut today....and she did SO GOOD! She sat like a big girl in the chair while the lady cut her hair. She acted like the Queen.....watching a movie, eating cookies, and having a good time...all while the lady cut her hair:)

Pool Time

Mackenzie and Thomas had a blast in the pool the other day. However, they didn't want to wait to put their bathing suits on before they "dove" in:) We can wait for the weather to be nice so we can pull out our pool again...

Waffle Thief!

This morning, Mackenzie "stole" my waffle right off my plate, and then ran away! She was SO proud of herself:) I let her eat the waffle, which to my surprise, she ate the whole thing!

Like Father....Like Daughter

I guess they were tired...huh?

Field Trip.....almost

One day last week, Wendy and I decided that we should take the kids (Sklyer, Mackenzie, and Thomas) on a field trip to the pet store to see all the animals. Greg and I have taken Mackenzie to a pet store before and she loved it, so I thought it was a great idea. Well, as you can see from the pictures, Mackenzie and Thomas only saw the OUTSIDE of the pet store. When we got there, and walked inside the store, I found out that they sold snakes, so we QUICKLY turned around and headed out the door......sweaty palms and all:) Sorry Mackenzie and Thomas....next time I will call ahead and make sure there are no snakes for sale before we go to another pet store:)

Wipes

Yesterday Mackenzie found something fun to entertain herself with in her room...her wipes! I went to go make snack for her and Thomas, when I noticed there was no noise coming from her room. I stuck my head in to see what they were doing, and Mackenzie had pulled out all her wipes, and was throwing them around:) She was SO proud of herself!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Friday, Mackenzie, Thomas, and I joined our friends Wendy and Skyler for a Easter Egg Hunt at the Park. We got there a little early, so we decided to play on the playground! Thomas and Mackenzie had a blast! They loved playing on the slides, although it seemed to be more fun going up the slide inside of going down:)

When it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt, we sat the kids down next to a pile of eggs. There were too many "big" kids there to let them hunt for eggs by themselves, so we "helped" them find some eggs:)
