"New Toys"

Mackenzie and Thomas got to play with "new toys" today.....an empty diaper box and bags of wipes! They were very clever and realized that if they helped each other, they could take the diapers out of the box, and then they would have a cool toy! Mackenzie liked riding in the box, while Thomas decided to flip the box over and use it as a drum!

Within the past week, they have really been working together as a team...today it was with the diaper box, and yesterday, I showed them how they could push each other on their push toy. Thomas would sit on the push toy, and then Mackenzie would stand up in front of it, and push it around the room. When it was Thomas' turn to push, he liked to push the toy from the back end, sitting on his knees! They both had a blast!

Field Trips

We have had a very busy morning, with lots of errands to run. Our first stop was Target (shock! Can you believe it...a trip to Target)! Once inside our favorite store, we made a pit-stop so I could get my Coke (again...Shock...a coke at Target)! Thomas loves to watch the slushy machine, while Mackenzie just watches what is going on. We made our way through Target, and then headed for our next stop...the library! Mackenzie had a great time flipping through books, and talking to people, while Thomas decided that he would rather sleep!

Gymboree Night

Tuesday nights are Mackenzie's nights to go to Gymboree. It goes without saying, how much she LOVES her class. This Tuesday, she would take off and move from activity to activity as usual, with the exception that she was walking instead of crawling:) One of her favorite things to play with at Gymboree is the "bumpy ball." She will hunt all of the gym looking for this ball, and when she finds it, it goes straight to her mouth.....so what did we do after class.....we bought her her very own purple bumpy ball!

Pottery Barn Kids StoryTime

We had story time at PBK this am, and as usual Mackenzie and Thomas really enjoyed themselves. We heard 2 new books, and then sang all sorts of songs! Thomas LOVES "The Wheels on the Bus," while Mackenzie's favorite song seems to be "Bingo." Afterwards we had lunch with our friends Wendy and Skylar at the Food Court.

Bath Time!

One of Mackenzie's favorite things to do is take a bath! Last night she was fascinated with the all the bubbles in the tub! She "tasted" a few bubbles, and decided that they weren't very good:). So instead, she decided to splash the bubbles!

Daddy Time!

On Sunday, Daddy and Boo had lots of fun playing with her tunnel before watching the Super Bowl with Aunt Jamie and Uncle Chris. Booskie didn't care too much for the game so all the girls went into the playroom to hang out. Mackenzie decided that it was more fun to play IN her toy basket, rather than playing with her toys! Silly Boo!

Miss Book Worm

Mackenzie loves her books! She will sit down with any book she can find, and thumb through the pages over and over again. Last night, before bed, she found a book in her playroom, and sat down with it and started flipping through the pages. When she noticed that I was taking pictures of her, she got up and started walking through her room with her book!

Tunnel Time

Mackenzie and Thomas had a ball playing in the new tunnel! They would chase each other in and out, over and over again! I guess Mackenzie needed to rest because, all of a sudden, she just laid down in the tunnel and sighed!

Worn Out

Today we had lunch at the mall, which is always fun! Thomas and Mackenzie love to watch the hustle and bustle of the busy food court, especially when they see other kids playing. After lunch, we ventured over to the Toys R Us, which was having a huge sale to see what we could find. The only thing we found was a toy tunnel (like the one she LOVES at Gymboree) that was on clearance, so we picked it up, and then went home. By the time we got home, both Thomas and Mackenzie were out cold! After their naps, we are going to be outside playing all afternoon....we have to take advantage of these 70 degree days in February:)

Favorite Toys

Mackenzie loves to play with her socks. This morning she took off one sock and then carried it all over the room...walking with it:) She then decided that both socks needed to be off, so she sat down and took off her other sock too!

Good Morning Booskie!

Mackenzie is such a morning person! Every morning, when I go to get her up, she is standing up in her crib smiling from ear to ear! Durning the week days, as soon as I lift her up, she leans back and peers around to see if she can see Thomas. The second she spots him, she tries to get down to go play:)

New Diva Pants

Mackenzie is wearing a new pair of "Diva" jeans that Aunt Cathy gave her last night at dinner! Notice the ribbon is Carolina Blue.......:) Thanks Aunt Cathy:)

Gymboree

Yeah! Mackenzie loves Gymboree! As soon as she gets there, she takes off playing. It is so hard to get a good picture of her because she is TOOOO interested in what is going on:)
